And I've only just realised that the new incarnation of Sid looks a lot less cartoony than originally drawn... you'd think I'd have noticed it earlier, what with me being the one drawing him :-P

Well that took longer than I expected...
As you can see, in frames 3 and 4 anyway, I went for the more graphic novel approach rather than standard comic colouring. Luckily the last two frames are very similar, so that cut down on the work ;-)
I'm starting on the next one soon, hopefully it won't take me as long. These aren't going to be in any way regularly posted :-P

Just in case anybody is actually reading this... I AM working on the first strip (while alternating listening to Dimmu and Venom), and it's got a nice 80's thrash reference (yes, I am that old) that's not even slightly subtle ;-)
Somehow doing 'single picture' art seems so much easier... I'm trying to not break webcomic rules #1 through #many and not suck!

Sooo... the start of a new venture... where to begin?
I've had this comic character kicking around for a few years, did some drawings, coloured one in digitally, wrote some strip scripts, then did nothing with it... now (barring laziness) I hope to start on it properly, see if it takes off. Still not sure on the art direction, whether to go for a full blown coloured/shaded/etc malarkey or just keep it simple lines and fills...
And before anyone starts throwing accusations of devil worship at me, it's a PARODY!
Besides which, I am the devil, why would I worship myself? ;-)

This is all new to me, so bear with me while I make a few mistakes... I'm used to forums, this can't be that much different, can it?
